Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition for Academic Year 2021-2022

Boarding Student: $57,900

This includes tuition, room, board, iPad, eBooks, athletics, and fees for required programs. Fees for optional programs are listed in the next section below.

Enrollment Deposit:
To confirm your intent to enroll and reserve your place at Bridgton Academy, a $3,000 enrollment deposit is required. You may either send a check or pay online. We do encourage families to deposit online as it is the most efficient and timely way to process payments. To remit your deposit online, please visit our secure online portal. This enrollment deposit will be credited toward the tuition balance.

School-Related Expenses (S.R.E. Account):
$1,500 – This amount is payable before the school year begins. It is an account for optional program fees as well as a room damage deposit. Unused funds from this account will be refunded at the end of the school year. If charges exceed the starting amount, additional deposits to the student’s account will be required.

Optional Program Fees

Focused Academic Coaching (FAC):
$5,500 – This fee applies only to students enrolled in the Focused Academic Coaching program.

SAT Preparation Course:
$500 – This fee applies only to those students who elect to enroll in the SAT prep course and is payable before the course begins. This optional course is offered during the first semester.

College Articulation Program (CAP) course registration fees:
Students enrolled in a College Articulation Program (CAP) course must pay a fee to the college or university granting credit for the course. Fees are set by the colleges and may vary to reflect the credit hours available.

Refund Policy:
The Academy has many expenses of a continuing nature such as faculty salaries and plant maintenance. In order to plan for and maintain services over the entire school year, it is essential that the annual income from fees be assured. For this reason, it is understood that students are enrolled for the entire school year and that no reduction or remission of the fee for tuition, room, and board or other charges can be allowed for absence, withdrawal or dismissal unless fully covered and financially provided for through an awarded insurance claim with the Academy’s Protect My Tuition program.

*Fees are subject to change at the discretion of Bridgton Academy.

Financial Aid

Bridgton Academy is proud to help families from all socio-economic backgrounds make a Bridgton education accessible. We comply with the financial aid policy of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), which is to provide financial aid, to the extent possible, based on a family’s financial need.

Bridgton Academy grants are financial aid awards from the school that do not require repayment. On average, approximately sixty percent (60%) of Bridgton Academy’s students receive a need-based financial grant.

To determine the most equitable estimate of a family’s ability to contribute towards education costs, Bridgton Academy relies on a financial need analysis as determined by either TADS or Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). This analysis serves as the guide for determining financial need.

Financial Aid Application Process

To be considered for financial aid, parents must complete and submit one of the following forms. It is recommended that financial aid applications be submitted simultaneously with the admission application or as soon as possible thereafter.

1.

2.Parents Financial Statement (PFS)
The PFS is available online at the NAIS website. It must be completed and submitted to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid. Bridgton Academy’s code number is 1840.

Notes About Financial Aid
If financial aid is needed, please complete one of the financial aid forms as soon as possible. If an applicant for admission is accepted, financial aid will be determined at the same time only if the information has been received from one of the above agencies. Financial aid is limited and it’s best not to delay your application. Communication of a financial aid decision is made by letter and email.

If you have any questions regarding financial aid, please contact Joe Hemmings, Director of Admission, by phone at 207-647-3322 x1 or at jhemmings@bridgtonacademy.org.
