Outing Club

Bridgton Academy is all in on Maine life.

Surrounded by mountains and lakes, Bridgton offers tremendous opportunities for students looking to get outside and explore. A long- standing tradition at Bridgton Academy is the Outing Club, which provides a wide variety of outdoor adventures for all of our young men. The nearby White Mountains and foothills offer no shortage of places for hikes and snowshoeing excursions. Our many ponds, and rivers, including the Academy’s private beach on Long Lake just minutes from campus, provide the perfect waters for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing, along with open-water fishing in the fall and spring and ice fishing in the winter months. Other new experiences to try might include dog sledding, making maple syrup, camping, and more.

The adventure is only part of the experience. As the outdoors are merged with education, the Outing Club provides the chance for students to see another side of themselves. Learning self-reliance and developing new skills help to build meaningful confidence, along with memories that will last a lifetime.
