Wolverine Hockey Alumni Shine in Two Competitive Contests
December 7, 2024
On December 7th, Bridgton Academy’s Alumni & Parent Hockey Game in Chalmers Ice Arena was a resounding success, drawing over 30 skaters and their families to the ice. The event featured a strong showing from many Bridgton eras, spanning as far back as the 1980’s to as recent as the Class of 2024.
Alumni and parent skaters traveled from far and wide to connect and compete with Wolverine passion and pride. The camaraderie was palpable in both games: the Legends v All Stars and the Hot Shots v Rising Stars competed under a new format where teams were split up by eras. This event, which kicked off with a festive family skate, showcased the enduring spirit of Bridgton Academy hockey, bringing together players from as far away as Virginia and Maryland and as near as Fryeburg, Maine. This diverse representation underscored the program’s long-lasting impact, and the strong bonds formed among players from across generations. Thank you to all who participated and supported Bridgton Academy at this always-fun event! We look forward to continuing to grow the new eras-based game format and our family friendly event features as we plan ahead for 2025.
