Celebrating First Semester Academic Achievements

Students from the Class of 2024 have been back on campus for just over two weeks following Winter Break. The start of the second semester provides a good opportunity to reflect on the first semester, particularly the hard work that our students have displayed in the classroom. Monday, January 22 was Bridgton’s Academic Awards Assembly, a special event dedicated to honoring the performance of the class during the first semester.

The first portion of the assembly was spent recognizing all of the students who earned Honors (3.0–3.34), High Honors (3.35–3.74), or Highest Honors (3.75–4.0) grades for their first semester. An impressive total of 107 Class of 2024 Wolverines earned an honor-level GPA since they started classes in September.

The second part of the awards assembly featured classroom teachers giving individual awards for each class. Each teacher can choose their own criteria for the award recipient, which often centers around excellence in some way. The common thread for every student who received a classroom award is that they are working every day to better themselves academically.

Congratulations and great work to date for our Class of 2024!
