The Inaugural Joe Daley ’77 Homecoming Football Game and the Bridgton Academy Resiliency Fund

Bridgton Academy invites alumni, families, and friends to mark their calendars for Sunday, October 4th, for the inaugural Joe Daley ’77 Homecoming Football Game.

This special game-day event will celebrate over 40 years of extraordinary service, leadership, and mentorship by Joe Daley, Class of 1977. During his tenure at the Academy, Joe has served in many roles including as a dedicated teacher, multi-sport coach (football, hockey, skiing, cycling, and lacrosse), and long-time Dean of Students. His deep connection to the institution is family wide as the proud father of three Bridgton Academy alumni: Michael ’04, Thomas ’05, and Patrick ’09.

How to Get Involved: We invite you to join us on campus on Sunday, October 4th at 1:00 PM to honor the grit, loyalty, and passion Joe Daley has poured into the Bridgton community—for over four decades—with the renaming of Bridgton’s homecoming football game. Cheer on the Wolverines and Coach Daley during this special Homecoming game!

Joe Daley ’77 will help to lead our Wolverine football team to the field and will provide the ceremonial coin toss. Members of Joe’s Class of 1977 are invited to join him as honorary captains during the coin toss as well. We may even hear a few words from the man himself!

Supporting the Future: The Resiliency Fund

Joe Daley has dedicated much of his life in service to the mission of Bridgton Academy. In honor of this event and Joe’s tenure, we ask that our Wolverine family consider making a gift in support of the newly established Bridgton Academy Resiliency Fund.

Purpose: Established in 2026 as an unrestricted quasi-endowment, the Resiliency Fund enhances the Academy’s financial stability, helping to guarantee the strength of our mission and programs.

Impact: The Resiliency Fund empowers Bridgton leadership to pursue strategic opportunities that enhance academic and athletic programs, support faculty and staff, and ensure overall institutional stability.
