Career health professional brings a wealth of experience to North Bridgton

NORTH BRIDGTON, ME – Anne Polak, MS, LCPC, has joined Bridgton Academy as School Counselor. Polak comes to Bridgton as a career health professional, with past experience including community mental health, school-based counseling, private practice, residential and day treatment programs, and corrections clinical work.
Prior to coming to Bridgton Academy, Polak spent nearly two decades working in the health and wellness arena in both Maine and throughout New England. A private practitioner in the town of Bridgton for the past ten years, Polak has extensive experience in Maine, having worked with Spurwink Services, Tri-County Medical Services, and the Maine Correctional Center.
She brings with her a wide variety of professional experience as a private counselor as well as health educator, offering mental health services and counseling, group mentoring, 1:1 counseling, clinical education for professionals, and school-based counseling.
“I am extremely excited to join Bridgton Academy, and am determined to create the most positive outcomes for the students, families, and teachers involved with the Academy,” Polak said. “It is so important to me that I can help ensure that our youth are empowered by their strengths so that they can make positive decisions and navigate their world successfully, and I can’t wait to get started!”
Anne earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Massachusetts–Amherst, and her MS in Community Mental Health at New England College. She begins at Bridgton Academy on August 13, shortly before the Class of 2019 arrives in North Bridgton on August 25.
