Stan Moore was named Bridgton Academy’s Prep Hockey Coach in the Summer of 2013. Moore arrived in North Bridgton, ME after coaching over 30 years of college hockey. He has served as the Head Coach at Colby College, Colgate University and Union College while earning Coach of the Year Honors in 1997 and 2004. Coach Moore also has served extensive time as an Assistant Coach at Brown University, Colgate University and Providence College.

Coach Moore has been recognized for his innovative and caring teaching methods as he has had a profound influence on all of the student athletes he has coached.

Moore also has extensive experience with USA Hockey. He served as the Head Coach of the 2005 USA Under- 17 Select team that competed in the Five Nations Tournament in Hutwill, Switzerland where he led his team to a Gold Medal. He has also been a guest speaker at several USA Hockey Coaching Education programs as well.

Moore is a 1974 graduate of Massena High School, where he played for his father Stan Moore, Sr., who is regarded as one of the top high school coaches in New York State history. Moore graduated from Oswego State in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

Moore and his wife Barbara have one son Jack (16), and two daughters, Ella (15) and Lily (10).
