Coach Hunt is entering his 4th year at Bridgton Academy. During his time he has helped 90% of his student-athletes to go on to four-year College Programs. He has also helped guide the Wolverines to a 23-17 record in that time.
Hunt came to BA from the University of England, where he spent 7 years as the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Hunt is the programs all time winner, his 2012 squad earned UNE’s first-ever right to host a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) tournament game, as well as the program’s first appearance in the ECAC Division III New England Championship.
Prior to UNE, Hunt served a two-year stint at NCAA Division III Colby College, where he was both the assistant lacrosse coach and assistant men’s soccer coach. Before joining the Mules’ staff, he was an assistant coach with the NCAA Division I Quinnipiac University lacrosse program, and was freshman coach at Daniel Hand High School in Connecticut.
A native of Guilford, Conn., Hunt is a 2000 graduate of Plymouth State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management. While playing lacrosse for the NCAA Division III Panthers, he was named PSU Male Athlete of the Year in 2000.
Hunt has served on the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee, was the men’s lacrosse committee chair for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), and was the Treasurer for the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA).
At BA Hunt is also a part of the Admissions team. He and his wife, Jessica, live on campus in The Edwards House with their sons, Sam & Baxter, 2 dogs and 6 chickens.
